The Biodynamics Laboratory is located in the Department of Integrated Systems Engineering at The Ohio State University. The lab is also a part of the Institute for Ergonomics.
We have developed a unique research program that focuses on the study of occupational joint loading under dynamic conditions. Our goal is to obtain a better understanding of occupational ergonomics through the laboratory quantification of information gathered directly from industry.

The Board on Human-Systems Integration has elected Dr Marras as its first chair. The Board on Human-Systems Integration provides new perspectives on theoretical and methodological issues concerning the relationship of individuals and organizations to technology and the environment, identifies critical issues in the design, testing, evaluation, and use of new human-centered technologies, and advises sponsors on the research needed to expand the scientific and technical bases for designing technology to support the needs of its users. The board also provides a formal and regular forum for sponsors to talk with each other and with a knowledgible body of experts. Learn more at the Board's website.
